OI!

How dare you misquote Svlad Cjelli like that? A better quote would be: "Oh no, I couldn't possibly - thank you very much."

NastyNakedNun responds:

I'm not sure if thats a question or not, but either way this quote was from the person in the account Svlad Cjelli, not the real Svlad Cjelli, and by real Svlad Cjelli I mean the literary character. By the way he said much better things compared to the shitfest of a quote you gave.

this was hard to follow

It was very difficult to watch this film because the art was a little unpolished and the scenes did not transition well from one to another. I went from watching what I think were IV tubes, to watching a burly suited man in a tank to watching a flying saucer land with nothing in between to explain what each scene was or how they were related.

For someone like me who has never played the game Metroid, this film is difficult to figure out. I felt like the bewildered man at the pictures in the Stephen Leacock story:

"Was the big man in the suit in fact inside the flying saucer? I wonder, oh yes he was - there he is getting out of it.... What are those? they look like alien crab legs scissoring very slowly back and forth....ah, I get it, it's the big man's legs...walking."

It might help if you were to create a storyboard to plan your animation so you make certain that it's clear how someone gets from point A to point B, and what, or who wwe are looking at.

Having picked this to pieces, I still think it was an ambitions and very promising animation. If you keep polishing your work, you should really go places.

Quimera responds:

thanks for the tips, ill take it on consideration.

very elegant

This was a very elegant little film.

robototron responds:

I'm humbled that you think so. Thank you!

nothing too new or interesting here

I don't know why you chose to draw one cahracter fuly, while leaving the other, (Link) as a collection of unconnected and disproportionate body parts. That was odd.

In spite of this, I thought the artist worked hard on this, so I awarded a 2.

I believe that there should be a NEW RULE ON NEWGROUNDS:

Instant free blam for anyone who uses the music from the burly man sequence in The Matrix Reloaded, and a heartily endorsed double-blam for anyone who uses a dance remix of it.

:)

Towlie2110 responds:

Surely you know of rayman, and surly you know you're music. Mr. music expert. Guess again.

very ambitious

This is one of the most ambitious sprite movies I have seen. I like the way you kept some of the characteristics of the old Final Fantasy characters, and much of the same brand of humour while creating your own unique story.

I always loved that "Gwa-ha-ha" laugh.

Vinstigator responds:

glad you liked it :D

Cute

However, while I like the video, this isn't really a Flash project - just a video in a Flash wrapper.

The developer also has to learn the art of drinking WHILE working. This is very important.

robototron responds:

Mastered that art a long time ago!

As for the Flash thing...well, I prefer this medium, and there isn't anything like Newgrounds. So, if Flash accepts imported video, and Newgrounds accepts Flash, I think I'm justified. Thanks!

very cute.

This animation prominently features ivy leaves, so I gave it extra points for that.

My only complaint is that some of the audio , (especially where the voices have been filtered to deepen them), is rather muffled.

thecolony responds:

Tnx for the review

You did a difficult thing.

As Flash movies go, this was neither here, nor there. It was reasonably well executed, but not a work of art.

However, and unfortunately, this animatoin will receive a large number of hostile reviews because we are a society that is inimical to life and hostile to anyone or anything that is overtly Christian. Some of the reviewers of this piece were practically frothing at the mouth.

I believe that abortion is perhaps the greatest evil of our time, and that you were courageous to speak out against it.

It is very easy to make a "brave and tragic" statement about how hard it is to be queer, or how important it is to honour freedom of choice about abortion. It is much more difficult, by far, to say anything that is out of step with popular values.

As to those who find themselves suddenly, inexplicably infuriated by this, ask yourselves, if you value free speech so much, why shouldn't someone be allowed to make this statement?

Anenome responds:

Thanks, I agree completely.

sorry, but it's not funny

...or edifying, or indicative of talent. It's got a little mild shock value, which is great if you're 12. This is the kind of submission no white person in their right mind would make, so I'll presume you're not coming from that direction.

This doesn't have anything to say, so it shouldn't stick around.

BananaLock responds:

What?

A trailer for a sprite movie?

Not worth it. Just submit the fiished piece. I would be much more interested in seeing that.

By the way, it should be "controversial" with an "i".

AngelnX responds:

yea i know i didnt see that i double checked and u guys are right! its with an "i"

actionscript is an interest of mine
