If you want to animate, you'll have to draw more pictures.

looping the same nasty tween for 9/10th of your animation, (character's mouth twitching and nothing else), was wierd and pointless.

Not sure I see the point of this...

Let me see if I understand this correctly: A young man stabbed another man on the street, then killed a police officer. After doing this he felt sorry for himself, sent a Dear John letter to his uncle,and killed himself.

What are you celebrating or commemorating here?

It is always sad when a young person does something self-destructive, but I don't imagine that the family of the police officer he killed are feeling particularily maudlin just now.

The young man was a flash animator on this site. He stabbed his neighbor in self-defense, shot a cop who was after him, then killed himself.

Nice work for a sprite movie

That was an interesting film. You managed to hold my attention for most of it even though you were animating 8-bit sprites at many times their original size.

I really liked thecinematic approach you took with your film.

However, I found that the grammar was extremely poor - so much so that the dialogue was sometimes difficult to understand.

I realize that English may not be your first language; but if you wish to release animations in English and want to make them accessible to people, your grammar has to be correct and the dialogue has to be readable.

Perhaps you could get a friend to help you with the writing.

SO what r u saying??? r u saying that since my last name is an Aztec name, you think that english is my second language?? u think spanish is my first language?? English happends to be my first language cause i was born here in the states. If anything, im bad in spanish! I just happend to be bad in school, but good at graphic design...something i dont think u are. brother, u have offended me! Therre are so many lazy submissions here, that it's a nice change to see a piece that has obvioulsy been conscientously worked on.

It must have been a slow day on Newgrounds. This was likely made over a weekend.

Nope! It was made in one day, from 11pm to 7am. And yes, it was a pretty slow day.

Tell me, what IS worth top place? Do you see another movie submitted today to which you would have said "Now THAT deserves the top place!" Someone has to place first every day, today it was me.

Well, I can see you have no lack of self-esteem...

I could have forgiven the abyssmal sprite animation, the poor writing, the bad art, the irritating soundtrack, and the bad grammar.

However, I was disturbed at the manner in which you responded to the reviews posted by other users. That is unforgivable. Your replies were reminiscent of some of the hopefuls who dissed the judges on American Idol after blowing their audition.

If you post your work, be prepared to take criticism like a man. For the most part, the reviews were well-intentioned, and they were generally accurate.

This was not good work, and your art could use improvement.

You wrote "until you do one, you'll see why there can be errors in every flash", by which I presume you mean that it's easy to make mistakes. Yes it is. There is a steep learning curve, and making an effective and entertaining animation can be difficult.

No one grudges you the learning experience. In the meantime, you should learn to accept criticism with better grace.

Lazy art, but nice animation. You have a nice grasp of timing, which is often the toughest thing to get when animating. I you were to invest a little more time in teh art, I think you'd really have something.
